Life was full of love,
Pure white
No blemish existed
There came a time when our paradigm
--shifted
Lost focus of where we were
To consumed with where we were going
Not moving in sync
Trading places being the tugboat
Only probably was that neither of us were towing
Moving at our own pace
Leaving each other to catch up
Hoping you got there
But to busy to hold your hand along the way
Going for ourselves of course our livelihood would
Have to pay-
The price for our greed, for disobeying what we thought we would need-
Forever, forever wanting to be yours
Now we’re over…healing is later, currently we’re scorned
Burned by the promises of yesterday and scorched by the flames of the present
This isn’t something we should regret, lets attempt to move forward with little resent
